Dog Toys for Your Labrador Retriever

Labrador Retriever Blog | September 3rd, 2008

I was actualy out the other day doing some shopping. I was looking at replacing my current watch and was looking over some Nautica watches. We then went to a dog store to pick something up for Cooper. We still have Gary the Gator that I blogged about earlier but we thought he could use something new. After looking around the pet food store for a bit we couldn't decided on what other type of dog toy to get him. There were lots of choices and lots of different prices but you never know what is going to hold up. That's when I thought about the blog. Somebody out there has to have a recomendation for a new toy for an agressive chewing labrador retriever. If you do please let me know.

  1. There are some thick rings from the Petsmart brand (I think it’s called ToyShoppe or something like that), from their “Durables” line, that so far have proven to be really good. Also the Nylabone that looks like a rubber femur worked great so far, I don’t think it’s designed for agressive chewers but it survived my dog which has a PhD in toy destruction. There’s also one called the “Galileo bone”, which has really good reviews however I never tried it… let’s say it looks “weird”:

    :-)

Every single toy designed for agressive chewers that was made of hard plastic has been destroyed so far. I had better luck with the strong rubber-like toys.

    Hope this helps!
