Here’s an unlikely combination. Amani, a black Labrador retriever and Winspear, a cheetah are best friends. They celebrated their first birthday party together recently at the Dallas Zoo. The zoo threw them a bash complete with a big pop-cycle made of milk and broth and a couple of water troughs for good measure.
The best part for me of the Labrador Retriever Chat Board are the dog photos and dog pictures that members share of their pets and labrador retrievers. Today I grabbed a few of the photos that were posted this week for the labrador retriever photos of the week post.
In the future I hope to post a weekly theme of photos or similar photos to share with the blog readers. If you get a chance stop by the chat forums and share your photos or read up on labrador retrievers.
You have a picture in your head. A picture of yourself with your practically perfect dog. You’ve always preferred big dogs, and your ideal dog is sturdy, strong, and energetic. At the same time, you envision a dog who is gentle and completely in tune to your needs, your whims, and your every move. That perfect dog is likely a Labrador Retriever. After all, the Labrador Retriever is the most popular dog in the United States, according to American Kennel Club registrations. Labs are beautiful, friendly, adaptable, easygoing, brave, loyal, dependable, and intelligent. What could be better?

You can live a fulfilling life with your Lab by making sure she is socialized, healthy, and well trained. What better task for humans and dogs than to be great companions for each other? However, you may need some help in knowing how to get the most out of your relationship with your Lab. This friendly guide offers that help with the following topics and more:

Labrador Retrievers are big, energetic, and sometimes boisterous (especially as puppies), and they don’t take care of themselves. They need you. Don’t let them need you unless you’re ready to be needed.
Meet the latest internet sensation, Charcoal. This black labrador retriever dog has become a viral hit after the following video of him playing with a bucket went online earlier this month. Charcoal’s owner has said that he has gone through over a hundred buckets and plays with his bucket for at least a few hours a day. The video of Charcoal has seen over a million hits since it was posted.
He sure looks like he is having fun!
