Rehabilitating Lucy the Labrador.m4v

Labrador Retriever Blog | February 16th, 2011

fastpupdogtraining.blogspot.com Lucy, a 7 month old Labrador Retriever had started biting people and was otherwise out of control for her pet sitter when Fast Pup Dog Training of Tacoma WA was called in to help. Lucy seemed very sweet and was certainly a very pretty dog. She responded well to obedience training, but when Kate Johansson of Fast Pup Training reached down to put a leash on her at the second session, Lucy bit her. Hard. Aggressively. Kate realized that this problem was not one that was going to be fixed by an hour a week session. This dog had become extremely out of balance in her short life by a combination of extreme boredom alone at home for so many days for long hours & having inexperienced owners who did not understand their necessary role as pack leaders. This rehabilitation involved having Lucy live with Kate and Freddy at the house with a pack of dogs who understand how to follow leadership, along with an intense exercise regimen and the fun of retrieving.
