Cutie pies

16 week old yellow lab does a few tricks. EDIT: Since we posted this video many people have suggested that Jack is overweight or that we feed him too many treats. The treats were ONLY given for training. His weight is due to him being on Prednisone for Puppy Strangles at the time this video was shot. He is not then or has ever been overfed. Jack is of the English Lab variety. As for his training we had him enrolled in “puppy school” and this taught us how to teach him. He is a quick learner and was often able to complete a trick after being shown a few times. As of now (March, 2009) Jack is almost 2 1/2 and is still a beloved member of our family. Pet of the week, 3/19/11
The Valley Humane Society’s featured pet this week is “Daisy,” an adult female yellow Labrador retriever. She is energetic, but well-behaved. She likes to play and run, but is sweet-natured and loving. She gets along well with children and other dogs. The society’s shelter is located on Trekell Road just north of Interstate 8. Pet of the Week: Precious will play patty cake and is friendly with everyone
Precious is a purebred yellow Labrador retriever. She is four years old (read calm and housebroken), and has been beautifully trained. She can not only sit and stay, but she will high five and play patty cake.

Our Labrador had nine puppies! This one has been struggling to get to mom to eat, so we’re giving him and another one a hand. Hopefully they’ll get to gain as much weight as the rest of the litter. Enjoy!

PET OF THE WEEK
Denzel is a young, neutered male Labrador retriever who was brought to us by Animal Services. He is a sweet, loving guy who is obsessed with his toys. He just loves to fetch. He gets along with other dogs and can climb a chain link fence. He is a bit of a spaz and will be a great friend for someone.
